Why did you want a dog?
I always grew up with a dog and moving in with my boyfriend and starting our life, it felt right to add her into our lives.
How has having a dog changed your life?
It’s definitely more responsibility, less being careless, staying out all day or night. The responsibility is amongst the most rewarding I’ve ever had. She’s the best thing to come home to and always so entertaining.
How do you deal with having a dog in your twenties?
Routine is so important. Keeping my routine and hers orderly so that everyone is happy is so important.
What is your daily routine? Any hard times?
Wake up, feed her, shower, get ready, walk her, go to school/work, walk her, eat, feed her, hang out/clean up, walk her, sleep. It gets difficult sometimes when my boyfriend and I have a lot to do or sometimes 13 hour days between work and school, but we always manage!
Unique characteristics about your dog?
Her head is tiny and her ears are huge!! She’s constantly outsmarting us, like I recently found her on our kitchen table after being unhappy we didn’t share breakfast with her.
What are some of your favorite things to do with your dog?
It’s rare, but I love when she cuddles with me!! I also love playing with her whether it fetch or just chasing her.
Does anyone help you take care of your dog while at work or school?
On days that’s I know I will be out for a long time, my dad will go to our apartment and keep her company or I’ll drop her off to him before I start my day.
If you are in a relationship, how does your partner feel about your dog?
My boyfriend bought my dog for me!! We both adore her endlessly.
