Dog's story (dog's age when you got him/her, breed, when you got him/her, from where):
I found Jax on Facebook believe it or not! I had been searching tri color King Charles puppies for months on end when I googled his breed in Massachusetts and his cute, little face popped up! The woman had just posted the ad that day when I called her and she let me know another man had expressed interest, but that it was first come first serve. So, I traveled 2 hours in rush hour traffic to the middle of no where to take my pup home. He had been adopted with his sister (she was wanted for breeding) from a puppy mill somewhere in the south and came to me in rough shape with mites, a yeast infection, and additional minor surgery when he got neutered ($$$$$). Of course we didn't know any of this initially, but wouldn't trade anything for that little bugger :)
Why did you want a dog?
My family had a dog when I was younger that passed away as I went to college. Ever since then I wanted one of my own and the search began.
How has having a dog changed your life?
Time and Money. You find yourself making plans with dog people, to places that dogs can come. You also shell out quite a bit of money to keep them healthy and happy. Who could look at that face and not smile (but seriously if you don't, you might be a serial killer).
How do/did you deal with having a dog in your twenties, may it be now or previously? What is/was your daily routine? Any hard times? Unique characteristics about your dog?:
Dealing with a dog is day to day. Some days it's easy and they sleep all day and eat their food. Other days it's a struggle, like when family gives him too much cheese and the floor needs to be mopped the next day because of horrible and traumatizing (for everybody) accidents, or they don't want to eat their food, or have an injury that requires an expensive vet trip. Everyday is certainly a memory though. Jaxs' unique characteristics are snorting, snoring, and spinning. He also does a great ROO ROO...
What are some of your favorite things to do with your dog?
Jaxs' favorite activity is spinning in circles (big, fast circles for the pizza man), napping, and going on walks.
Does anyone help you take care of your while at work or school?
Initially I checked in on him at lunch for about the first month he was a puppy, but now he enjoys a long nap during the day.
If you are in a relationship, how does your partner feel about your dog?
He loves him maybe more than me some days.
