Almost everyones New Year Resolution is to be healthier. Keeping your resolutions is much easier if its fun and you have someone to do it with...aka your pup!
Making juices is a great way to fit all types of vitamins into your diet. So... why not make sure your dog is in tip-top shape, by sharing your tasty juices with them!
Here are a few recipes we love:
1 medium apple
2 stalks of celery
4-5 large carrots
Remove carrot tops and apple seeds. Dogs are allergic to apple seeds!
The Green Energizer
¼ medium pineapple (I remove the skin and cut it into medium pieces)
1 large handful of spinach
¼ medium cucumber
½ medium courgette/zucchini
1 medium carrot
15 sugar snap peas
1 small handful ice cubes (for the human version, not the dogs)
And last but not least...
The Pawty Power-Up
2 asparagus, which is a powerful kidney cleanser and should be given in small quantities
2 large handfuls of diced up papaya, which stimulates appetite and helps with digestion
1 medium apple, which also aids in digestion
2 stalks of celery, which is rich in sodium
Once again, remove apple seeds because dogs are allergic to apple seeds!
**Before giving our dogs any new fruits and vegetables we always double check to make sure they aren't allergic to it. The ASPCA lists non-toxic and toxic foods on their website.
We love using the Huron Juicer for making our juices! The Huron Juicer makes juicing easy and fun!
